Favorite Players: Richard Almanzar

I got to see Richard play for the Lakeland Tigers during the 1996 season. He hit for good average and had speed if my memory serves me correctly, and I vividly remember reading that he won the Florida State League All-Star Game MVP award that year in the paper. The next game I went to, I congratulated him and asked him what the trophy looked like, and he told me it was very tall. I got his autograph a few times that year, but never on a card because I never had one. Had the internet been as big as it is now back then, I would've no doubt had a few.
