Favorite Player: Orel Hershiser

Playing at the peak of the overproduction era, Orel Hershiser is up there as being one of the guys I have the most cards of in my Favorite Player Collection. I read his book "Out of the Blue" in grade school, and that's when I became a fan of his. When I couldn't get number 27 on my 6th grade basketball team (because for some odd reason, we couldn't choose numbers over 6), I chose Orel's #55.  I was lucky enough to get his autograph through the mail when he was pitching coach for the Rangers, and I went to a game when he was with them as well, but didn't get close enough to get one in person.
