In 2009 when John Axford came in the league, I was an instant fan. He got a ton of Saves for the Brewers, he was a little intimidating with a nickname like Ax-Man, and I liked his facial hair. I started collecting him shortly thereafter, and continue to pick up his cards when I see them.
