Lee Janzen is the one golfer in my Favorite Player binder. He lives in Lakeland, Florida, which is where I spent about 20 years of my life. While I was working as a cashier at a grocery store, his mother came through my line, and we got to talking about the current golf tournament going on, which at that time, Tiger Woods was winning. She got so mad about me mentioning Tigers name, and even cursed, I believe. It was cool getting to meet her, and I wished her son best of luck, but if I ever see her again, I will never mention Woods again.
LEE JANZEN CARDS I HAVE:
2002 Upper Deck
2003 Upper Deck Collared Classics

Gary Glover is from DeLand, Florida, and is good friends with my buddy Jim, who is a big Cardinals collector and has been to some card events with me. Eventually, I'm going to send these to Gary to get signed, and hopefully pick up some more of his cards.
GARY GLOVER CARDS I HAVE:
2002 Topps Total
2003 Topps Gold
2005 Topps Total
Brent Gates is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I was born in Grand Rapids, and lived there for the first 8 years of my life, so I collect cards of guys that are from there. Not pictured with my cards is an autographed 1993 Topps card of Brent, which I have filed with my Quinton McCracken cards. You can click the link to see the picture of it with the McCracken cards. Tough thing about having 2 favorite players on the same card.
Lenny Dinardo is a former Stetson Hatter, who I’ve met in the minors before I ever knew about DeLand, FL and Stetson U. Pictures with his cards is an uncut sheet of cards from Stetson. Lenny is pictured on the top right.
LENNY DINARDO CARDS I HAVE:
2002 Topps Total
2002 Upper Deck USA Baseball certified autograph
2008 Upper Deck
I’ve got to see Brian Buchanan play many times over the course of his career. I saw him in Tampa when he was a minor leaguer, and got his ‘95 Topps card autographed, and I saw him as a Twin in 2001, and got his 2001 Topps card signed. I sold most of my autographs at one point, and have lost those cards, but I’ve built up my Buchanan collection.
Mike Alstott was a beast when he played. He was a powerful fullback and when teamed with the speedy Warrick Dunn, the Tampa Bay Bucs had 2 threats in the running game.
I went to an awesome Monday night game in Tampa when they played the Rams in 2000. My youth pastor got us club seats, and we sat near Mike’s mother. The Bucs won a tight game 38-35 which featured a 4th down conversion in the closing minutes, and a John Lynch interception to seal the game. After the game, I got Mike’s autograph on his 1998 Bowman’s Best card, as well as a cereal box of Mike Alstott’s A-Train Express. I can’t find the cereal box, but I do still have the card.
MIKE ALSTOTT CARDS I HAVE
1998 Bowman’s Best (autographed)
