Favorite Player: Steve Pearce

Back in 1999 (11th grade), I had chemistry class at Lakeland High School in my first semester of public school after being home-schooled for the last 5 years, being in private school the 3 before that, and being home schooled the 2 before that. Not such a great thing going from being so sheltered to being thrown to the wolves, but there were some good things about that class. There were a few nice-looking cheerleaders in that class, my friend Jamie, who I knew from church was in that class, and Steven Pearce was in that class. Steven was on the baseball team, but from what I remember, I thought he was more into boating and motorsports. Anyways, he went to college at USC, got drafted by the Pirates, and got called up to the Majors in 2007. I got lucky enough to get him to sign a few of his rookie cards ttm during Spring Traning 2008, and I mentioned that I was classmates with him at LHS (that may have been why he signed them so quickly, only taking 5 days). I also have his Sports Illustrated in my collection.
