Favorite Player: David Ortiz

I generally try not to include very popular players in my Favorite Player Collection, just due to the sheer number of cards that would have to be sorted through and that I would get. I have made an exception for David Ortiz. He is the sole reason that the Red Sox beat the Yankee$ in 2004, and is the only person to be a part of their 3 championship teams since then. I was lucky enough to get his autograph in 2002 when he was with the Twins and they played the Devil Rays in Tampa. I only had his 1998 Topps rookie, and he signed it during batting practice at a game that I went to. It is the cornerstone of my Ortiz collection.
