Your first look at the backs of 2019 Topps

That's right, folks. You heard it here first! I was able to get my hands on a 2019 Topps card before they hit the shelves, and since everyone already knows what the 2019 Topps card fronts look like, I thought I would show you what the backs look like. Prepare yourselves. They are amazing.

Similar to previous years, Topps uses the exact same design on the fronts as the backs. They also have the same kind of layouts on the back as in previous years, with the team logo at the top left, number at the top right, and the set name underneath the number (for dealers to tell what product it is for easier SP lookup).
As you now expect, there is the minimal amount of player info, with only the basic height, weight, bats/throws, and birthplace. The stats get the 5-year only treatment with new stats like Exit Velocity and Maximum Launch Angle replacing old-timey stats like Home Runs and Batting Average.
This year, Topps have even more ways for you to connect with your favorite player (or the assistant who handles their social media accounts). In addition to the usual Twitter and Instagram handles, there are now sections with their AIM screenname, ham radio handle, and the Topps Twitter account, where you can spend 20 dollars to get the latest Topps Now/Wall Art/Old-School set with new players sets.
Well, if you made it this far, you can probably tell that this is a joke and that this is not a real 2019 Topps back, but I’m sure it will be close. It will be fun to compare it to a real one in a few days. I hope everyone gets some nice cards for their collections in 2019 products. Thanks for checking out my latest post.

  1. Jeez, you had me there for a sec...

Love how you had the back designed though.
