As I get older, I find priorities are changing too. The important thing is to be happy. I do customs as a means of not spending, but I appreciate everything you have done and all the templates you have shared. God bless you and thank you for making this hobby so much more fun.Mark Staffierihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16594695270704218530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6090427987841668435.post-58485272032367068172021-10-12T16:51:01.340-07:002021-10-12T16:51:01.340-07:00Be well, Jeremy. I don't have any wisdom that hasn't already been shared, but everything above is good.

I am always impressed with anyone who can sincerely hold a belief, and modify that belief due to their life experiences. When I first go...Jeremy you wrote my story for me. When I first got married 36 years ago there was a time I put cards first, before my wife and sons. I have gone through cycles also. I have also been a life long Christian and the more I read the Bible and study it and memorize it, I see that what I thought a Christian was was not right. It is a relationship with Christ where we listen to what he has to say. God Bless you in the future. If not here or there I will see you in the air. Moderation is key in everything. But, if not, we understand. I've experienced this in my own life, a hobby turning into an unhealthy obsession, and it's not fun. At least there is a certain sense of freedom that follows when you reach the point of having to cut it out cold turkey. Congratulations on finding the courage to take that step.

Best wishes to you.Adam Kaningherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05604439081636666350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6090427987841668435.post-17239416312189942362021-09-27T18:28:23.146-07:002021-09-27T18:28:23.146-07:00Hey Jeremy,

First, you recognize and admit that it's a problem. You also seem to have an outlet to replace it with (music). And perhaps most importantly, you are a believer in Christ. I can see grace at work in your journey thus far and will keep you in prayer. Continuing to go back to Him when you are tempted is the best thing you can do. I'm sure your wife sees this and know she is pulling for you all the way. Let me know if I can ever help with anything way up here in the hinterlands. I have had some of the same thoughts regarding the amount of time and money spent on this hobby and how that fits into the life of a Christian in terms of importance, etc. So I actually do relate to where you're coming from. Perhaps a final thought is to identify your triggers so you aren't caught off guard by the temptation, but it sounds like you have kind of already done that too. Will miss you in the card world, but happy you are making the best decision for yourself. One thing that has helped me is to find ways to give cards away or sell them and put the money towards charity. Wish you all the best.
